Montpellier: best area for small dress shops?

Heatwave here in Montpellier, need more cool clothes. Where's a good area to find small boutique dress shops, not department stores or chains?

I was recently in Paris with temps in the 90's for a few days with very high humidity.
I bought some great Italian linen tunics and pants at the outdoor marches.
There is likely something similar in Montpelier. Just ask at your hotel or local cafe, or look on line.
Happy shopping!

Or ask the tourist office. The craft shops are scattered around the old town, NW of the Opera House and Place de la Comedie, roughly stretching to Bd .du Jeu de Paume in the SW. I didn't pay any attention to the clothing stores but assume that boutiques might be hanging out near the craft shops.

I, too, have seen a lot of linen in the markets, though I didn't go to a market in Montpellier. A good bit of what I'm carrying with me is lightweight cotton garb bought at street markets.

Thanks for the helpful replies. I didn't find a street market here (though I have with me a lovely skirt I bought at a market in a French village many years ago). My hotel receptionist (male) suggested several small streets in the Vieux Quarter and I tried many items. Ended up with new sandals, a hat and a linen dress. All good, and dress was 40% off.
