Montparnesse Hotels

Someone in this forum recommended Lenox Montparnesse. There is Hotel Villa Modigliani right next to it, which looks like a bigger place. Can someone help me choose between these 2? Our requirements are: Elevator, two separate beds, proximity to metro. We are senior citizens both 65+. Thanks in advance.

Pre-tour, we booked the largest room (junior suite) (301 sq feet) at Lenox Montparnesse. It was on the top floor and overlooked the Hotel Villa Modigliani. Wonderful room. Lots of space. When it was time to start the tour (and would have to switch to the smaller RS reserved rooms), the hotel let us stay in the larger room for a small upcharge.
Both hotels have excellent reviews and elevators, rooms with separate beds and both are close to the metro. I would look at the size of the room. What size room would you have at the Hotel Villa Modigliani vs the hotel Lenox? Just because the hotel is bigger doesn't mean it's better, if you book a small room.

This is a good location right near a bunch of great crepe restaurants, not too far from Rue Daguerre, near metro stops, near Jardin du Luxembourg.

Well done! Enjoy!

Derek:

I have booked a Club Room - supposedly 172.22 sq ft in size. For my 6-night stay, the junior suite would be 535 euros more expensive.
In Villa Modigliani, there is a Double Room Privilege which is 205 sq ft in size, and costs 152 euros less than Lenox.

My worry is about the quality of the hotel. This is our first time to Paris, and I dont think we will visit Paris often.

I don’t know if you like at reviews on TA but the Deluxe and Privilege rooms at the Modigliani were renovated recently. That’s promising IMO.

“My worry is about the quality of the hotel.”

How much time do you plan on staying in there? You can spend time in a hotel at home.

As long as it is safe, clean, good location what else do you need?

Another thing to consider is how much time will you be spending at the hotel? We stayed at the Lenox (it was the tour hotel for the Paris and Heart of France Tour) in 2017 and, to be honest, other than sleeping, eating breakfast, and our pre-tour meeting, we didn't spend much time there at all. I have found that to be true for every hotel we've staying in throughout the UK and Europe.
