Montmartre walking tour

We will be in Paris in October and are planning on taking the Paris Walks "Village Montmartre" tour. There are two days that work for us - either the 10:30am tour on Wednesday or the 10:30am tour on Sunday. Do you think one day is better than the other, or does it matter?

We did that walk on a Sunday and I think it was better since it's not a work day for most residents. The walk and the talk was excellent.

Personally I'd aim for the first day if the weather is good because it could be cold and rainy five days later.

I agree with Bets - if the weather is nice on Weds then do it, don't take a chance on Sunday being as nice. On the other hand if Weds looks like rain, then scratch it until Sunday and do something indoors on Weds (museums). Don't schedule things too tight, be flexible about which day you do things.

I don't think the day of the week will affect the walk in any way, you don't go in any places while on the walk so no worries about open/closed days or times.

I enjoyed this walk immensely, our guide was very good.

Thanks for your replies. Good point about the weather. We'll go on Sunday, and if the weather is bad we'll go the next Wednesday. I'm glad everyone gives this tour a thumbs up - we're definitely looking forward to it!

I've done this walk - be aware that there's lots of walking up and down hills. It was fairly strenuous but very interesting, as all the many Paris Walks walks I've done.
