We are taking the advice of the many forum posts and even the Rick Steves consultant and staying over one night on MSM to avoid crowds and get the full experience.
Our plans are flexible and we can stay over either Sat night or Sun night. Any thoughts on which is best call as not sure how much the place shuts down on Sun or if there are special things on Sun morning to not miss... Vespers?
I think its Matins - the morning prayers, that you want to see. But you have to get up there pretty early, and find the right door to stand at.
