Does anyone know if the advanced sale timed ticket for the Abbey can be used if you miss the time set because of transportation delay, etc. and need to wait until the next day to use it? There seems to be only 5 time slots per day and we can only use the last one of the day (1700). On-line there doesn't seem to be any way to buy the ticket without setting a time. We will still be there the next morning and we would want to use it then if we are delayed getting in the day before. This is in mid-May. We also wonder if we wait until we get there will the tickets sell out.
whittonrichard1867,
Tickets to the abbey can be bought on the day. No need to prepurchase. Just walk up to the abbey. If this has changed, maybe someone else can give you some input.
I understand the time slot issue. Did you already buy your tickets? You can buy the tickets there, yet you could be in for a long line. Lines weren't too bad when we were there last week, yet that could change in May. Plus, you'll need to go through security. BTW, will you be staying on the island? High tide is something to consider day and night, although they do withdraw within an hour, it does make it pretty wet.
