Mont St Michele Overnight in September, Sunday or Monday or both?

In mid September 2018 we are staying in Bayeux for 3 nights, honoring Normandy, exploring the village and seeing the tapestries. Comfortable B&B lodging already arranged and will be a cultural experience in its own right.
So, just discovered the nightly, except on Sunday, Ballades Nocturnes at the Abby, an experience we would cherish.
Do you recommend we revise our itinery so we stay Monday night instead of Sunday, adding a night in Bayeux (and reducing our stay in Dinan, Britany, OR shuttle to the Mont from Bayeux one of our evenings for the Nocuturnes (is that even possible that late?) and return to Bayeux for the nights rest. We will have a car.
Thank you for your recommendations, shared experience and insights.

The evening opening in Mont St Michel usually takes place in July and August only (from 7.30pm till midnight). It would be shorter to enjoy such nocturne from a base in Brittany (Dinan, St Malo...) than from Bayeux (about 45 min or 1 hour instead of 1.5 hour).

Just received confirmation of Ballades ending in August.
Sent this to our potential host on the Mont:

We will be staying on the island, hopefully at
Hotel Duguesclin, and I am wondering if you
recommend revising our itinerary so we can
at the Abby for Sunset. Are there special aspects
to being there on a Sunday? We have learned of the nuns and priests special morning prayers.
We are 66 years old and this will be our only
opportunity to experience Mont Saint Michele.
We could stay either on a Saturday night, Sunday or
Monday. Perhaps you could share what would
you recommend and a brief comment as to why?
Thank you for your kind guidance. We will be
communicating with our host in Bayeux and in
Dinan based on your recommendations for
date of stay. Perhaps 2 nights on the Mont would be ideal.
