We stayed at Chateau de Trigance in southern France this summer. It's in a tiny town at the eastern end of the Gorge of Verdun. We stayed there because it allowed us to get an early start on our trip through the gorge. We spent one night there and enjoyed it. The castle sits on the top of a hill and has commanding views. The hotel has its own restaurant and the food was fine.
