I have read Rick's Travel Tips re phones & tech. My cell phone will not work in France and I do not want to buy a European sim card for the 12 days I'll be there, but I have heard that you can buy a "disposable" mobile phone fairly cheaply. Has anyone done this and where did you purchase and for how much. I will be driving alone around a certain area of France and thought it might be wise to have a phone in case of an emergency. If you can buy a disposable phone, can you purchase a prepaid card with limited minutes or money for it?.....or does it come with some amount when purchased? I only want it for potential emergencies--not for calling home or talking to friends, etc.
