Mobile phone in 3 countries

I want to buy a sin card in France for my unlocked, 3G phone. I will be in France for 2 weeks, then Barcelona and Venice for another 2 weeks. I probably won't be making very many calls but if you will be necessary. Any idea how much these calls my cost (French Sim card to use in 3 countries). I was wondering about purchasing the Sim card from SRF. Since they're partners with Vodafone in England, might it be possible to set this up with instructions in English? Is Orange better? Or another company? Where in Paris should I buy the Sim card? Any advice would be very much appreciated.

All I know is that if you buy an Orange sim card in Paris and then head for Spain, you cannot add minutes to it in Spain. Orange is a separate company in each country and they do not recognize each other's systems.

You can make calls with your French bought Sim in Spain but the calls will be charged at roaming rates which are capped in EU countries. One option is to use up any credit on your French Sim in Spain then, if necessary, buy a Spanish Sim and the same for for Italy. The exact costs, non-roaming as well as roaming within the cap, will depend on the carrier.

This well regarded company has stores all over Europe and their staff are happy to advise on the best carrier for your requirements.

I would buy a French sim and see how far it gets you. Most companies do have partner service across Europe, but not top-up access. Top it up in France if it's running low, but don't try to predict all your expenses for the next countries. If money does run out in either Italy or Spain, then buy a new sim there for about 10 euros.

Thanks, everyone. I think we will get a card in France and try to check our minutes before leaving the country.
