Missing 1 night - need stop over and hotel between Chamonix and Beaune

Was reviewing my itinerary and finally realized I'm missing a night between Chamonix and Beaune - better now than when we are there in early June...

Open to suggestions but need to be in Beaune for a truffle lunch the next day at 11am. Default will probably be another night in Beaune or possibly somewhere nearby.

We will have a car so have some flexibility.

Thanks fellow travelers!

How many nights in Beaune do you currently have? And in Chamonix?
If you feel you have enough time in both, you could spend the night in Annecy if you do not go there already, in Pérouges if you want to visit a postcard-perfect village, or in Bourg-en-Bresse if the late gothic Monastery of Brou appeals to you - it is magnificent and rarely visited.

Thanks balso.

We are leaving from Lyon and start with 2 nights in Annecy, then 1 night in Chamonix, next is missing night, then 2 nights in Beaune. Finally back to Lyon for 1 night before coming home.

Maybe we could hit Pérouges one the way back to Lyon???

Oh, definitely spend a second night in Chamonix then. It is worth going up both Aiguille du Midi and Brevent, if you can.
As for Pérouges: you could even stay there on your last night, it is close to Lyon airport if you return the car there. There's only 2 proper hotels AFAIK, the one down by the main road is more convenient with a car.

Add a night to Beaune - it's totally worthy of two days. And if you still need to do more you can easily see some wine villages or Dijon.

Another night Chamonix isa good idea too.

Is Pérouges a good place to spend the night or just a day trip?
