Metro/Waking routes in Paris

I need to give a friend of mine who is meeting me in Paris precise directions on how to get to a Paris apartment via RER/Metro from CDG. I seem to remember that there is a website where I can put in the origination and destination point and it will give directions between these two points via various modes of public transportation. It even gives walking directions once you arrive at a metro stop to your final address. Does anyone know the website?? I have tried to find it, to no avail. Anyone know what I am talking about??

Thanks!

is the official web site for the route calculator. be sure to put in a time that is daytime in Paris (if you do it from the US you may be doing it at a time when the metro is closed and thus end up with results for the night bus which would be quite confusing) your friend can google map the walking route from the metro if the site doesn't generate it.

Have you tried google maps? You can click on the train icon and it might give you what you're looking for.

I was going to suggest Google as well, but in trying it I could not get public transportation options, just automobile and walking. That was kind of surprising.
It said: Sorry, we could not calculate transit directions from "Charles de Gaulle Airport....

Stick to ratp.fr/en for mass transit directions. Google maps's mass transit directions for Paris are not very good. I believe that the system may only have metro stations loaded and so if you have to take the RER, it will not be able to give you directions. And sometimes, it gives you very convoluted metro directions when there is a simpler more direct route.
