Navigo Easy -- you can load with up to 29 metro/train tickets at 2.50 each and also put as many bus tickets as you need at 2 euro each. There are not more carnet discounts.

The Navigo cards; Easy and Découverte, are reusable cards. There is no other physical medium that holds a fare other than a configured smartphone. Paper tickets stopped being sold earlier this year. Existing tickets t+ will be accepted through the end of this year.

I loaded it up after the minimum purchase amount was made. You want to be able to go the turn stile confident that your card is contains the amount needed. I used the Navigo Easy card with ease this summer.
