we arrive in gare de lyon from basel at 21:37 on aug 15. i feel that's a little late already. there may not be time upon arrival at the station to study the metro lines from here to our hotel ville stop in the marais district.
can anyone pls tell me how to get from gare de lyon to the hotel ville stop? or a website so I can study the different metro lines.

The Hotel de Ville stop is on Metro Line 1 which also stops at GdL. You planned this well. It's about a 10 minute ride -- 3rd stop. Take Line 1 heading to La Defense.

The Paris Metro is very easy to use!
Or just take a taxi. There will be plenty lined up in front of GDL.

metro it will be. am sure it will be safe walking in rue de rivoli at 10:00pm. I will have to inform the hotel of our late arrival.
