Metro delays in Paris, traveling soon...

Hello, traveling soon and wondering if metro delays listed on RATP app are included in the travel time listed? Really would prefer to metro around for our trip. But if delays are unknown or long I guess Uber will be it for us.

I've lived in a big city; been to Paris many times; metro delays are not that serious not noticeable if you are on vacation and not going to work; I would use Uber only if I were in a hurry to go a long distance or very tired or very late. The metro is always coming;

Last May there was quite a bit of construction going on on Metro and the RER (name changed to "train" yet?). I was using Google Maps, and it didn't know about the delays. It was a bit frustrating. I have heard the Citymapper app might be better at knowing about construction detours - next time I get to Paris I'll try it.

Don't rule out the buses in Paris - they can be a better bet than Metro in some cases.

In many trips to Paris we’ve never had a particular problem with metro or bus. We use the buses a great deal so we can see the city and have found the RATP app very useful for the buses. The only time we have used taxis in Paris is to and from the train stations when arriving or leaving town.
