Metro card for short stay

I am taking friends to Paris with me for part of my stay. I have the weekly Navigo pass that gets recharged every week. I want to get passes for my friends that will work for the short time that they will be there. Is there something between the single ride tickets and the Navigo that we can purchase?

Thanks very much!

My understanding is the Paris Visite Metro Pass can be purchased for a certain number of days of use. 1, 2, 3 or 5 consecutive days. Day 1 being whatever day of the week you want to start.

The Visite is overpriced because it comes with a passel of discounts to sights you probably will not use. For instance, the Navigo all-zone weekly pass is 30.75 EUR, but the Visite all-zone 5-day pass is 76.25 EUR.

Agree with Sam about Paris Visite being overpriced.

If their time in Paris doesn't like up well for the Découverte Semaine, the thing to do is indeed probably the Navigo Easy. Each person needs their own card, which costs €2, and then they can load tickets on it.

So the Navigo Easy doesn't require standing in a line to purchase, and it requiring a photo to attach to it, like the decouverte? Can you buy it at a ticket kiosk like the visite pass, or must the Navigo Easy be purchased at a staffed ticket booth?

Get the Navigo Easy card. Load it with 10 single ticket rides. Reload after 10 rides.
No picture needed. Any you can buy it from a machine or at the ticket window

Go to 5:51 to see how to buy a Navigo Easy card from the machine and buy the 10 ticket booklet onto the card.

We bought navigo easy passes and asked to load it with 10 rides a few weeks ago. Two separate purchases, the first time I tried to use a machine and got confused (although I think it's very easy to do, I just wasn't sure if I was buying a navigo card or paper tickets) so I just went to the window and asked, in English for the navigo card with 10 rides, I think it came to 19.40? euro give or take. I used a credit card, tapped at the window, no pictures involved. Very easy. I can use those cards at a machine to reload. I can also tap those cards at a machine to see how many rides are left. The only disadvantage is these cards can't be shared. I'm told you can still buy the paper book of 10 tickets. We had a few given to us by another member of our party who had purchased them in September. Twice, I used a ticket easily, and my husband, right behind me used a different ticket and it didn't work. Once there was a person at the gate, who scanned his ticket and just gave him another one. We couldn't see any differences between our tickets, but I've been told that sometimes the magnetic strip on the paper ticket stops working.
