Meeting Place in CDG, Terminal 2?

A friend and I are landing at CDG in Terminal 2 within an hour of each other and would like to meet there and then proceed to our Air BnB together. (I'm flying JetBlue and she is Delta). I'm having trouble finding an easy, central meeting point in Terminal 2. Any suggestions? We will both have whatsapp and I assume CDG has wifi, so we should be able to message each other - but just in case one of us has a phone or wifi issue, I'd like to establish where we're going to meet before hand.

Thanks!

The problem is that Terminal 2 is really five or six different terminals -- Terminal 2A (which is currently closed), Terminal 2B, Terminal 2C, Terminal 2D, Terminal 2E (which has Halls K, L and M), and Terminal 2F.

First, you have to figure out if you're both coming in to for example 2E.

Oh boy. Thanks, that's helpful! I'll try to figure this out.

Is there anywhere were all the various terminal 2s come together, or are they really totally separate?

There's no common convergence point of all Terminal 2 terminals, no.

You can look at a terminal map at easyCDG.com and see that some are on one side of the central road and parking lots and some on the other.

Three are contiguous on each side. So the most that ever happens is that two meet up.

Check your flights and see which terminal they land at, then come back and we can offer ideas.

According to easycdg.com (a great website to help you navigate CDG), Jet Blue uses 2B and Delta uses 2E. If you’re both coming from the States, you will have to first go through Passport Control (probably in separate areas) before finding a place to meet.

For me, if one of us is arriving earlier than the other it seems easiest for that individual to proceed to the arrivals hall of the later arriving individual. Having only one of us on the move may make the rendezvous faster. Determining which one that is and identifying a meeting point in that arrival hall has worked efficiently for me quite a number of times.

With all that being said one may want an alternate plan in place just in case the flights don’t happen as projected - significant delay or cancellation. Even the handling of luggage can destroy the blest laid out objectives.

JetBlue flies into 2B and Delta into 2E. In this case, I would also recommend meeting at the train station at CDG (specifically, the train station is called "Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 - TGV" -- within the airport, you can simply follow signs for "Paris par train / Paris by train" or "Paris RER B").

2B and 2E do not share any facilities airside, i.e. you cannot meet each other until you have both respectively proceeded through passport control and baggage claim/customs and you are deposited landside.

Just have the person who is arriving earlier meet the later arriver right outside where that person is walks out from customs. It does not matter if a flight is delayed or not. Ahead of time decide either that the first scheduled arriver will meet the later scheduled arriver even if the flights are delayed or that upon landing you will both check to see who arrived first and the earlier arriver will meet the later arriver. And set a framework of how long we will wait for delayed flights (we do 90 minutes) before meeting up in Paris. I've done this a bunch of times and never failed to meet up with my traveling companions.

There is a Sheraton hotel in Terminal 2. That would be an easy meeting point.

Definitely in separate areas. These are two totally separate buildings.

We met at the Sheraton Lobby It was easy to find as it's signed throughout the airport and there was a comfortable place to sit and wait.

Excellent idea. I am filing this one away for future reference...

I would also turn on my phone and tell the travel pal to do the same upon landing, if only for this one day, and be prepared to receive a call or text from my travel mate in case of flight delays or confusion. Easy to do with Verizon Travel Pass, or better yet if you have T Mobile...
