Meeting at CDG

We were wondering how to meet at CDG when you are coming from two different airlines. I'm on BA she's on KLM. My flight is coming into terminal 2A, how do we meet up with each other? We are both arriving passengers, me from 2A her from 2F. Can I just walk to 2F and wait at one of the cafes there?

Others with greater familiarity with CDG will no doubt offer better suggestions, however:
1. We have generally had success with agreeing to meet at baggage claim for the last (actual, not necessarily scheduled) arrival. (Others may see a flaw in this strategy if security at CDG prevents general access to bag claim; I don't recall.)
2. You might check older posts on this subject. I recall someone wisely suggesting a 'back-up" rendezvous for a seriously delayed traveler such as the hotel or other accommodation, or a designated restaurant or bar in the airport (see detailed terminal maps on CDG website).
3. If the actual arrival times are close, you could consider meeting at or near the Info desk close to a designated spot in a terminal (again, by consulting the excellent maps on the CDG website.) E.g. I see there is an Info desk in 2A near the Travelex/Currency Exchange (item 10 on the map and legend for "Services.") Or the rental car desk if applicable.

Good luck. I'll be watching to see what more savvy travelers suggest.

The suggestion of looking at the CdG site is useful: http://www.aeroportsdeparis.fr/en/homepage

You can't meet exactlly at an airline's luggage area. Only arriving passengers have access: You would have to wait outside that restricted area in a lobby where there are often churning crowds with message boards waving. Many airlines may be unloading through the same luggage hall. Stressful; confusing.

It will be more comfortable to agree to a central area on the website, preferably one with a café so the first to arrive can take some refreshment, sitting down, while waiting for the rendezvous.
Simplest of all: Keep travelling alone and meet at your hotel, assuming your destination is in the city.

Most of us suggest the lobby of the Sheraton Hotel, which is in the middle of Terminal 2.

Also a Paul's outside of the Sheraton for a snack while waiting or in the bar at the Sheraton is a good place to meet. There is not a lobby at the Sheraton to speak of unless it is further back by the check-in.

Are you taking the RER into Paris? If so, the ticket machines/window area for the train is small enough to meet someone. Plus whoever gets there first can pick up the tickets (10 euro each into Paris).

Check out easycdg.com it has detailed maps etc of each terminal arrivals and departure etc.
I met travelers in October arriving on a later flight and at a different terminal. Each of the terminals has a information desk and some cafes just outside the baggage claim area. In 2f there is a Brioche Dore just outside the baggage claim area. Get your self a Brioche or croissant and a beverage and people watch til your friends arrive.
