I've read that earlier this year, the Medici Fountain in Luxembourg Gardens had been drained and was/is undergoing refurbishing. Does anyone know if that work has been completed? I'll be in Paris the last week of July and, as it's one of my favorite places to spend time in Paris, I'm really hoping that it will be back open. Thanks!

Jane, I did find this site which outlines the restoration process and an associated timeline. According to this, the plan is that the work will be completed by the end of June. So, we should both be able to enjoy that picnic this summer!

For those interested, I walked to Luxembourg Gardens yesterday and I'm sad to report that, despite the projected end of June completion date, the Medici Fountain is still deep in the restoration process and it doesn't appear that it will be done any time soon.
