May Day, Great Roman Games, Bull Games, Iternary advice

We are planning to be in France late April/Early May. I'm trying to determine how to handle the Labor Day Holiday on May 1st. We could start in Paris and be in Nimes for the Labor day holiday or we could start in Nimes and May 1st would fall while we are in the Lorie Valley. I was debating trying to go to Nimes for The Great Roman Games. I was also trying to find information on Bull Games. Any information on the Great Roman Games, May 1st Holiday and how to find Bull Games would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Tentative schedule: (Any advice on modifying welcome!)

Day 1 Travel day

Friday, Day 2 Travel day/Paris (Sleep in Versailles) *Is there anywhere to safely stow luggage in Paris, or maybe a tour as I expect to be very blurry eyed. We arrive at 8 AM. Was planning to try to see anything that would be closed on Sunday/Mondays that is a must see. Alternatively could go to straight to Versailles and have half of day there.

Saturday, Day 3 Versailles (Pick up rental car and Sleep in Loire Valley )

Sunday, Day 4 Loire Valley

Monday, Day 5 Loire Valley (Sleep in Dordogne area)

Tuesday, Day 6 Dordogne

Wednesday, Day 7 Dordogne (Sleep in Carcassonne)

Thursday, Day 8 Carcassonne (Sleep in Provence)

Friday, Day 9 Provence (May 1st) ? Nimes/The Great Roman Games

Saturday, Day 10 Provence (Drop rental car, Train to Paris, Sleep Paris)

Sunday, Day 11 Paris

Monday, Day 12 Paris

Day 13 Fly home
