I would appreciate any thoughts/recommendations for lodging in Maussane les Alpilles for a late September/early October trip. We would like to stay in a smaller town and will have a car. We had hoped to stay in St-Remy, but are concerned about crowds during a local festival.
We stayed in MLA for a month at the end of last summer. We had a house with a group. So we didn't stay in any hotel. But we loved the town and there are a couple of small hotels right in the center. If they don't have their own parking there is a free public lot very close.
L' Oustaloun (a small hotel and a lovely restaurant run by the same couple for many years, we dined there twice)

Hôtel Les Magnanarelles (a slightly larger hotel with some outdoor space that looked inviting, they also have a restaurant with what looked like a nice menu but we did not dine there)

The town also has good tourist information website. https://maussane.com/en/ We found it easy to get around from there all over Provence for day trips and yet a delight to come home to such a charming town in the evening.
Many fabulous restaurants. And wonderful specialty food shops for packing your picnic for the day.
Enjoy the planning!
