Marseille to Toulouse

We are a family of 4 looking to travel from Marseille (Port) to Toulouse on November 4th. All train tickets on Omio and Trainline are sold out for that Saturday.

Is it possible to book Uber or Bolt one way from Marseille to Toulouse? We are worried that the driver will cancel the booking since it is quit far.

Are there private driver options with a reliable company? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

My suggestion would be to rearrange the schedule and travel on the 3rd or 5th instead. And avoid third parties and buy your tickets from SNCF instead.

If that doesn't work, Flixbus has seats available on the 4th.

I would not trust Uber or Bolt for such a trip. It's a five hour drive. There are of course reliable companies that can offer to drive you to Toulouse, but it will not be cheap.

Trains look just as full on the 5th... There are flights in the 5th but it costs over €1,000 for 4 people.
The reason for that is that this is both the end of school holidays and of a week with a public holiday in it, so lots of people travel. Myself included.
If you can travel on the 3rd, much better, but it looks like you might be on a cruise or a ferry?

Also, every Saturday itinerary is showing bus service in place of a train from Marseille to Narbonne. Bad weekend to be doing track work.

You can try BlablaCar, shared ride service.

FlixBusshows availablity on 4 departures to Toulouse on November 4th from the bus station at Marseilles St-Charles main RE station. Cab, bus or train from the port to St-Charles, your choice.

Thanks for all the helpful information.

We will be getting off a cruise and unfortunately, we couldn't change our dates because our hotel in Toulouse is already booked.

My parents are senior citizens and I am worried that the bus will make them very tired. I would like to avoid flying as well, as having to get their early for security check and checking in will tire them a bit.

Does anyone know of private drivers that are reliable? I don't mind paying a little extra for their comfort,...I am looking into kiwitaxi, and connecto.

Is that a problem? They won't be driving the bus. And if the bus might make them tired, wouldn't a car make them tired as well?

How much is "a little extra" in your opinion? I did a quick search and there are companies that can drive you to Toulouse but it seems like the rate for four passengers is a bit over €1000. It might be cheaper to book a hotel in Marseille and tell your hotel in Toulouse that you will arrive a day later.
