We will be in Marseille for a day August 19 (Saturday) on a cruise stop. Will the hop on -hop off bus be super-crowded? Is there a public-transportation alternative to the HOHO bus?

I've been to Marseille twice and really enjoy the city. I've not taken the HOHO tour but I just looked at the map and it left me unimpressed. Since my last visit, there is now a company that offers guided electric bike tours and even offers pick up at the cruise port. Here's a link to their site. they have a number of different tours available besides this one. I'm an overweight 73 year old couch potato and I took an electric bike tour in Paris two years ago and my lack of physical fitness and my age had no bearing on using and enjoying an electric bike. What I liked best was going on the smaller streets to visit more intimate parts of the city. You would get a better "Marseille experience" by bike rather than by bus.
