We are arriving at MRS airport on 23 March at 14:20. Need to get to Arles for our home base. Should I pre-book or just buy tix when we get there? If pre-book on SNCF, should I book 15:02, 16:16, or 17:06. We will only have carry on bags. Thank you all!
Since these are TER trains, price is always 12.30 EUR per person, so no need to pre-book. If you are over 60, it is 9.30 EUR on the 15:20 and 16:29 departures for Vitrolles Aeroport Marseilles Provence.
There is a ticket office just outside of the airport where you catch the bus to the train station. Buy the tickets when you get there.
We arrived MRS on a Saturday and the ticket office was not staffed. A chip and pin card, which we had, was necessary to buy tickets from the machine there-I bought a pair for an American couple who also had just arrived but did not have a c & p card. The 23rd is a weekday, just a heads up.
The Marseille airport website is very helpful (most airports pay attention to their Internet presence.)
