Just wondering if anyone has had any experience picking up a rental care at Marseille airport. Looking for an easy place to pick up a rental car to tour Provence. Thanks for any advice.

I've done it a few times, it is very straightforward, and you have direct access to the highways to Aix, Marseille and Avignon/Arles.
I would just avoid Goldcar and Firefly: low rates, but nickel-and-diming for every single scratch.
And in general, always take many pictures of the car upon pick-up and return.
