We are interested in trying a calanques boat trip out of Marseille. Any recommendations re: providers? Currently eyeing Le Don du Vent. Also, any recommendations for dinner options in Marseille after a day onboard a boat with no hotel room to freshen up?

We were in Marseille in April and had a dynamite, casual dinner of pizza (perhaps the best I’ve ever had), salad and wine at Trattoria Partenope. Lively, and felt filled with locals on that evening. Not fancy, but a surprise delight.

I recommend Chez Jeannot in the Vallon Des Auffes for good seafood and pizza. It has been around for decades. If you were going for fancy and upscale, Chez Fonfon in the Vallon Des Auffes is good also, but pricy. Enjoy Marseille!
