Marriotts in Paris? what you like?

Hi! We are using our Marriott points for our hotels in Paris, April 2019- which do you all think is best if you have stayed at any? Last time we stayed at the Renaissance Paris Le Parc Trocadero Hotel which was great just wanted to ask because that was 11 years ago.

thank you!

I have stayed at the Marriott Rive Gauche Once upon a time. It was nice enough, slightly dated in the 90s style, rather well located and I would definitely stay there again if I got the rates that I got that time. While I generally prefer something more French, this hotel was not bad at all.

We’re using my Marriott points at the Republique next month. I’ll let you know what we think.

We used points for AC Hotel Paris Porte Maillot for 2 nights in 2016. It was a good points value and a 5 min walk to the train. We didn't explore to the west of us but to the east was a nice, "not touristy" neighborhood and a 20 min walk to Arc de Triomphe/Champs Elysees. I like the modern feel of AC hotels, it will not give you the European old world charm (I like a mix of both when traveling).

I have been looking at the same thing to start planning our trip about a year from now. In case you aren't aware, Marriott and Starwood have now combined membership so if you search for Paris hotels, it should show you Starwood properties as well. The Westin Paris looks like a good location, it is in arrondissement 1. The rate is close to $400 Euros a night, category 7 so you probably would need a lot of points.

We stayed at the Marriott Champs Elysees several years ago. It was a beautiful big room with a fabulous bathroom and tub. We prefer to rent apartments now, but since using points was the only way we could afford to stay in Paris that first time, it was great.
