Marche des Enfants Rouge Paris

In an outdated DK Eyewitness guidebook, there was a mention that "on Sunday mornings, street singers and accordionists sometimes liven the proceedings." Is this still true? Any other tips for visiting this market? We are staying not far on Rue de Montmorency. Merci!

I live nearby and have never seen or heard any musicians.
Also, this is now more a food court than market, eateries outnumber market stalls. The food is pretty good so this is still a good place for lunch, but on a warm day at the weekend you have to go early - the place is a madhouse after 12:30 PM.

Note also at this food court that some of the vendors have seating but are very vigilant about not letting anyone who didn't buy from them use it. My husband and I bought meals from different vendors and could not find seats together because they were so aggressive about policing their tables. Although I had bought from a vendor, they would not let him sit with me. We ended up walking over to the nearby square to eat. It was actually quite unpleasant.
