Managing Corsica to Sardinia Rental Cars and Ferries

Our family of 5 is planning a trip to Paris, followed by Corsica, Sardinia and Rome.

Hoping to take a flight from Paris to Bastia, rent a car, tour the island for a few days, drop the rental car off near or at the ferry terminal in Bonifacio and then ferry across to Sardinia. From Sardinia we'll do the same thing in that we'll want to rent another car, tour the island for a few days and then fly on to Rome.

It's seeming difficult to find rental companies where you can actually do what I'm proposing.

Any suggestions on how best to accomplish this. Knowing rental companies and pick-up/departure towns would be really helpful. Thanks!

Corsica is mountainous with narrow, steep roads that require nerves of steel.

Bastia, rent a car, tour the island for a few days, drop the rental car off near or at the ferry terminal in Bonifacio

Avis/Budget and Sixt seem to do this. ( not sure how close to the ferry terminal the Bonifacio drop location is)

Sardinia also looks to have one way rentals available from Hertz, Alamo, Enterprise, etc.
