Maisons Laffitte commute by bike?

Hello

My husband, myself and our two children (daughter 7, son 5) will be visiting family in Maisons Laffitte. There is a 20+ minute walk from their house to the train station into Paris. I am wondering if there might be the option of bike rentals for the week. I am imagining that getting the kids to ride bikes from the house to train station and the train station back to their house would be much easier then convincing them to walk any further after a day of sight seeing. Anyway I am wondering if anyone knows of any bike rentals in Maisons Laffitte (google has been less then helpful) or if we could rent them in the city and take them on transit back to Maisons Laffitte.
Also if anyone else has any ideas as to how to make that extra 20 minutes at the end of the day easier I am all ears.

If you have family there, they might know the local shops and which could help you.

Is there no bus?

I agree with Nigel...research the bus. Very easy and relatively cheap when compared to what it would be to rent bikes. I also doubt that the Paris "velib" bike scheme extends out to Maisons Laffitte either.
The only bike rental place I know of in the vicinity is one that rents them hourly for use out onto the nature trails in the area, which is close to Maisons Laffitte. It would probably cost a small fortune since they are set up to rent hourly but it couldn't hurt to try! They may be willing to cut you a deal but I wouldn't count on it!
