Just beginning to plan a 2 week trip to France in summer (May-July) 2023 that will have Paris as starting/central point. We want to visit the historical Maginot Line and it looks like there are several points to do that. Which is the best location to visit to experience the underground tunnels, etc.? Which is accessible easily via train from Paris? Thank you

Can’t say there’s a best because there are Maginot line forts all over. We have Fort de Schoenenbourg marked to visit on an upcoming trip. Many of the forts are off by themselves in fields so a rental vehicle would be best to get to them. There are also a number of WWI forts at Verdun with tunnels and reconstructed trenches.
