I will be staying 2 nights in Lyon, Arrv 2, at Hotel la Residence, Place Bellecour. I've seen suggestions on parking at a car park either in the city center or on the outskirts of the city. I'm leaning toward the later and looking for specific car park that would be reasonable in terms of daily rates and commute to my hotel. All suggestions welcome!

I'm not sure when you'll be arriving, but, currently, the parking lot beneath Bellecour is partly closed because of construction at the west end of Bellecour -- we've seen that on our last two visits to Lyon over the past few months.
Your hotel is not particularly convenient for parking, but if I were staying there I'd probably park at Parc Célestins, just north of Bellecour. Cost would probably be on the order of 25€ per night.
I recognize that's not on the outskirts of town, but -- Saint-Éxupery airport excluded -- I would not recommend parking in some remote lot and leaving my car unattended for two days. I suspect chances are pretty good that you'd return to find a window broken by a curious thief.
