Hello! I was wondering if someone familiar with the metro stations in Lyon, France could tell me if there are very long escalators in stations, like in the London tube, or if they're of a more reasonable size. Thank you!
I am not familiar with the Lyon Metro but I am familiar with the Internet, which offers this site in English. Try your route after clicking the Accessible box; it should at least indicate placement of elevators.
Most of them have elevators. You may have to look around to find them, but they're there. Escalators are not as common.
The biggest and deepest station, I believe, is at Place Bellecour, and there you will find escalators because of the different levels and multiple converging lines.
The escalator at Vieux Lyon is extremely long but there is an elevator alternative. Most other stations are fairly shallow.
