Lyon City Card & Rhone Express Package Deal

The "Rhonexpress package deal" includes round-trip tickets to/from St-Exupery airport into Lyon plus a 3-day museum pass.

My question is does my using the Rhonexpress tram pass mean that I am activating my museum pass for that day as well?

I arrive in Lyon late and would not want to use up a day of the 3 day pass.
I would appreciate anyone's experience with this. I have looked all over the websites involved with the package deal and cannot confirm that I can activate the tram pass and the museum pass separately.

Thanx.

I lived in Lyon for 4 years but prior to that was only a tourist for brief periods, so my opinion may not be that relevant for you.

If that last day of a 3-day museum pass is that important to you, you could just pay a one-way ticket on Rhônexpress to get you to Part-Dieu to preserve your pass, or take a taxi, or use blablacar.

I took a quick look at the website and didn't see anything either. Rhônexpress is an odd thing: very good on its transport; not so good on information about its services.

I appreciate your quick reply. And, your suggestions. Thank you.

One more thing: you could call them and ask about your question. If you don't speak French it may take time to find an English-speaking person, but they probably have one or two on staff.

You should ask. But my expectation is that the answer will be something like, No, you activate your city card when you want.

The same pass is also available from the TI in Place Bellecour, so if you are concerned you do not have to order them together. Note you'll need monnaie (coins) to get on the metro if you don't have an active City Card.

That card has to be one of the best deals in Europe.
