Driving down from Burgundy to Lyon. We have reservations in Lyon but would like to stay in another city or nearby area for a few days. Wondering where would be a good place to stay-- either hotels or city recommendations. Thanks for any help!!!

That's a short drive. When you say "another city" what do you mean?
A city other than Lyon?
A city in addition to (after or before) Lyon?
What are your interests and how many days are you planning to stay in this city other than Lyon?

In Lyon, recommended Hotel Vaubecour. Lyon is a wonderful city. We spent a week there wandering, exploring and of course eating.
