Lyon airport - how long does it take to get through customs/passport control?

Anyone with experience flying into Lyon on an international flight?

I'm flying into Lyon on a Friday morning at 8:25 - the flight is coming in from Canada. I'm not checking a bag.

Assuming it lands on time, would I be able to clear customs/passport control to make a 10:32 train leaving from the airport's train station? The next train doesn't leave until 1:43.

I've been reading some horrible reviews about Lyon's airport about long lines but most were about getting through security for departures but there were some about arrivals.

Where are you going?

This question comes up constantly for all the big airports, Paris, London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt. This is the first time I have heard it for Lyon, but the answer is always the same, 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending. But this statement "Assuming it lands on time" is at least 50% of the variability in whether or not you can make a particular train. Why not just do the best you can and buy a ticket when you get to the train station.

I used to live in Lyon and it's still the closest major airport, along with Geneva, that I use. While there are no guarantees (for example, I don't know how fast you can walk nor do I know if any of the moving walkways connecting the air terminal to the train station will be working) but for me, I would have no serious concern that -- if I were to arrive on an 8:25 flight -- I could make a train departing at 10:32.
