Hi, I overthink to book a Brass Boat Cruise. I need advice on where to stay overnight in Lyon. Before and after the cruise. I wish it should be a nice hotel with high standards. At first, I was drawn to the Sofitel.
It is supposed to have a beautiful view of the river. Now I am very unsure. The building (front) does not look so nice in photos, and I have read some reviews saying that the rooms are ‘shabby/run down’. It is not cheap, and I hope to find good advice here, again. A good Bar and Restaurant would be very nice.

Meeting for people/traveller who loves live music and/or are playing an instrument (horn, sax, trumpet…). Workshops, concerts, sightseeing etc..

I have a night booked at Hotel des Celestins before a Viking River cruise next month. It had good reviews…seemed a good location….and I have seen a recommendation on RS forum. Your cruise sounds wonderful! We were both brass instrument players and love instrumental music! Hope this helps?
