Doing a day trip from Paris on the TGV and have booked a tour at Ruinart in the late afternoon, so looking for recommendations for a nice lunch spot in town before the tour. I assume there are good spots close to the cathedral area. Thanks in advance.

This is a wonderful place I have eaten a few times on two different trips: Cafe de la Paix. It’s wonderful, make reservations, even for lunch. Also we have enjoyed Lê Grande Cafe across from the Hotel Continental and La Galois. Reims is a wonderful small town and one of my favorite places in France. Try not to miss the Surrender Museum!

Another vote for Lê Grande Cafe across from the Hotel Continental. We ate there at least twice and were verry happy with the food and service. The mussels were outstanding.
