Lunch near Chambord chateaux

We plan to visit the chateaux on a Wednesday in mid-October.
There don't seem to be many options, and the few reviews I have found are not impressive (more like 3 stars rather than 4).
The restaurant does not have to be fancy, simply seeking good food (not fast food), decent service, and of course a hygienic place.

The first two have been suggested to me:

  • Le Relais d’Artémis - BTW, it appears to have closed!
  • Le Grand Saint Michel
  • Les Armes du Château (apparently on the same premises as Le Grand Saint Michel, and much more casual and simpler)

Since I first sent this, I have come across a few more (the first two have decent reviews overall on Google, 4.2 and 4.4, respectively)
- La Cave des Rois
- La Rôtisserie du Château
- La Bécasse Heureuse -- note that this is about a 10 minute drive from the chateau, which I am now thinking is a good thing as that would make it much less likely to be touristy.

Suggestions appreciated, especially if recent and/or first-hand.

Thank you

We prefer the Café du Commerce in the centre of Bracieux, but it's an altogether different atmosphere. It's 3 buffet course, all cooked on house, and full of tradespeople, families, and social groups. If you actually want France as the locals do it, it's my recommendation

Thank you Simon. The other dynamic I am experiencing is that a few other places which have been recommended have closed.
