We plan to visit the chateaux on a Wednesday in mid-October.
There don't seem to be many options, and the few reviews I have found are not impressive (more like 3 stars rather than 4).
The restaurant does not have to be fancy, simply seeking good food (not fast food), decent service, and of course a hygienic place.
The first two have been suggested to me:
- Le Relais d’Artémis - BTW, it appears to have closed!
- Le Grand Saint Michel
- Les Armes du Château (apparently on the same premises as Le Grand Saint Michel, and much more casual and simpler)
Since I first sent this, I have come across a few more (the first two have decent reviews overall on Google, 4.2 and 4.4, respectively)
- La Cave des Rois
- La Rôtisserie du Château
- La Bécasse Heureuse -- note that this is about a 10 minute drive from the chateau, which I am now thinking is a good thing as that would make it much less likely to be touristy.
Suggestions appreciated, especially if recent and/or first-hand.
Thank you
