We'll have a rental car and will spend a few days in Chamonix before moving on to Beaune in Burgundy. Looks like the drive is about 3-3.5 hours, but we have time to make it more of a scenic drive and definitely to stop for lunch along the way (or a picnic at a picturesque spot). If anyone has suggestions on lunch spots, scenic towns or views, detours or alternative routes, or in general how to spice the ride up I'd appreciate it!
