The Best of Paris tour includes a metro pass
I saw a suggestion to put your metro card in a clear luggage tag and attach to your purse or backpack. This way you can tap the pass and tuck it back after using it. Have any of you used this tag/lanyard trick and how did it work?

I wouldn't leave my pass dangling on a tag. You can stuff it in your pocket, or even into your wallet since you don't need to tap out on the metro - you only need it on the way in. Just make sure not to fumble with your wallet right before the gate (get your pass in hand a bit beforehand).

I am sure it would work through the plastic…. Think it would work best if you are detaching the tag from a purse or backpack , otherwise it would be an awkward reach.
I just kept my metro pass in a zippered inside upper pocket of my jacket so I could quickly slip it out and back in after using .

I saw women just holding up their handbags onto the card reader without even unzipping them.
