Luggage storage Bayeux

Hello,

Due to work constraints, my planned four days in Normandy this summer has been shortened to three. I'm exploring various ways of still seeing what I want to see without packing too much in. One thought is to stop in Bayeux between MSM and Rouen, but only for several hours, not an overnight. I see that there is no luggage storage at the Bayeux train station. Does anybody know of any reputable storage anywhere else? I assume the tapestry museum would make me check my large backpack with them. Would they/could they hold onto it for a few more hours?

Thanks!

I don't recall seeing any bag check at the Tapestry Museum (of course I wasn't looking for it) The way the Tapestry is presented does not make it vulnerable to the damage caused by backpacks and careless purses. I doubt if they would allow someone to drag a suitcase through the exhibit, but if it were not crowded that would actually not be a problem (of course in summer it will be packed and so unreasonable.)

Send an email to the tourism office (just Google for website) and see if they a) will hold luggage, and/or b) know who will. If 'yes', bring a copy of the email as proof :-/

Be sure to make it to the Battle for Normandy Museum AND the British Cemetery across the street. And the Cathedrale and crypt...and stroll the canal...and notice all of the signs and flags :-)
