luggage storage at CDG?

We arrive at CDG T2E late morning and hope to store our luggage (1 small carry-on each--we'll take our cross-body day bags with us) while we spend half a day in Paris before spending the night at an airport hotel preparatory for an early train the next day.

We have found the luggage storage location on the terminal map, understand that it closes at 9pm, but would love any sort of more specific details--is it lockers? a service?

Also wondering if it might just be better to take some extra time to quickly shuttle to our hotel and have them hold our bags?

We are a bit concerned about getting back in time for that 9pm closing... we are fairly seasoned travellers and excited for this trip but don't want it to begin with glitches or wasting time, thanks for any info or advice!

it's an actual facility, last time I went past it, it was all red. But yes, maybe have your hotel hold?

The baggage storage at CDG is Bagages du Monde in terminal 2:

You could store luggage at your hotel. Difficult to advise without knowing the details of the hotel. When staying at CDG, you want to stay at a hotel along the CDGVAL, free rail line, which are all on the airport. Hotels here will be within minutes of the TGV station and possibly even closer to the RER B into Paris.

If you are spending the night at an airport hotel, I'd just check my luggage at the hotel and then hop on the RER B to Paris. There are several hotels right at Roissypole and the RER B stop. We have stayed at hte Novotel there and the RER is steps from the lobby. Hotels will generally keep your luggage till check in.

If your hotel is on the CDG Val line and will store your luggage, I think you should take the time to drop your luggage off there. Frankly, it will probably take less time than dealing with Bagages du Monde. Bagages du Monde does not have self-service lockers. If you get there at a busy time, be prepared to wait.
