We will be arriving CDG in the morning with an overnight layover. We can't check it in more than three hours early. We'd like to store our checked baggage at the airport until we come back the next morning to continue our flight. Does anyone know if this is possible?

You can check your bags at Baggage du Monde at the airport. google for location, price, etc. Expect it to be expensive,

If you are going to a hotel, they will check your bags before 'check in ' time and may check you in early if they have the room. If it is an apartment -- well that is why getting an apartment for one night is not a great idea. You could also check it at Gare du Nord or as others noted Baggage du Monde at the airport. Be very sure you know the hours they open and also leave plenty of time for lines in retrieving it before a flight.

Norma - when you said that the hotel may check our bags early, did you mean that if it is too early to check-in at the hotel for our room, the concierge may still take our bags so we can go exploring until check-in time or did you mean something else? Thanks!

Every hotel I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world has taken guest bags before check in. Small hotels may store them in a corner of the lobby and you may not want to risk that; larger hotels have a baggage room where they check in luggage of people who will be checking in later or have checked out but have a later flight. This is bog standard; it would be unusual if a hotel didn't do this.
