I just wanted to make sure I’m understanding this correctly. Our party of 4 will be touring the Louvre and focusing on the “Visitor Trail” “From Palace to Museum”. We see that you can follow the instructions to get from exhibit to exhibit. But, does this trail work with the audio tour features available for rental. Do the audio tour rentals work by systematically taking you from one exhibit to the next based on their set path; or do they allow you to go your own way and get info at your pace and on your selected trail? Also, is audio trail worth it or more of a pain? The Louvre App- does it allow for clicking on info as we go along our visitor trail? Thanks so very much!
I loved that "trail." It takes you past nearly all (maybe all) the highlights of the museum, though none are actually mentioned in the trail material. I haven't used the app, but the Louvre audio guide was very good when I used it on another visit. The audio guide is specific to exhibits - you see the audio sign and find the item on the guide, so it would be a good companion to the trail.
Thank you so so much! Very helpful. So glad to hear you enjoyed this visitor trail. We are looking forward to it!
Are there print-outs of the Visitor Trails at the museum or do I need to be prepared before I go?
You probably already know about it, but Rick Steves' audio guide to the Louvre is pretty easy to follow and hits the major art works. Takes about 45 min.

I think you have to download them in advance . . . you can copy/paste to a word doc and have fewer pages, otherwise I think it's a pdf file.
