Today we had 9 o’clock tickets, arrived shortly before and very long line already existed. Had received an email evening before stating opening may be late. We waited until shortly before 12, at that point, 10 and 11 o’clock appointments arrived, perhaps they were 20,000 of us around the pyramid. At first, no information was provided other than.” they did not know when they were open.” we were told that the museum would certainly open. Finally word seeped out from their website they announced they would not open. Obviously with perhaps more than 20,000 people waiting in line they had to allow the information to seep out. My understanding is the museum was closed because museum workers were negotiating a new contract. Just thought I would give you a heads up as now they say the museum will be opening late on Friday, good luck.
