Second Question: I read that children under 18yrs old get free admission to the museum. Is this true?

Yes to both questions. You will see the under 18 option when you select the time you want to enter when buying your ticket online. The person under 18 will need to show identification with the date of birth listed on it with the ticket to get in.
We have never had a child asked for ID but it can happen especially if it is an older teen who might look 18.
