Louvre ticket

Louvre.com had tickets + audio for 28 Euros but I was not sent a confirmation code after creating an account.
Ticketslourve.com had tickets + audio for 66 Euros. Any other suggestion as to how to buy a ticket?

This is the official ticketing website for the Louvre.

https://ticket.louvre.fr/en

Did you book thru there instead of Louvre.com? Was your CC charged the 28E? That is the correct amount. 22E for admission to the museum, 6E for the Audioguide.

Did you proceed to buy after creating an account? You can buy without creating an account, I think. I see they now have a section where you have to enter your name and it was not like that last Fall when I last bought.

Do not get sucked in to the 66E unless that includes a live tour guide as well.

Try to check into your account on the Louvre website. If you can't, then the account didn't go through. Beware if you have an email address that has an "unconventional" ending such as .net. The Louvre accepted my sbcglobal.net email address, but their payment processing site did not, so my attempt to buy tickets was rejected and eventually my account was locked. I sent the Louvre customer service an email from my account asking for an explanation of the problem and a solution and they responded within 24 hours. One of their suggestions was to create a new account using a "simple" email address such as gmail.com. I have an old juno.com address and using that turned out to be the solution to purchasing tickets. Bon chance!

@Leslie....wow, that is very interesting. So many people post that they have difficulties with the Louvre ticketing site and you may have discovered what has tripped many up. Thanks for posting that.

You're welcome Pam. I find this isn't exclusive to the Louvre site however; Sainte Chapelle, D'Orsay, and L'Orangerie rejected my sbcglobal email from the start. I've also had trouble with it in England. It's my "main" email, and most hotels do fine with it, so I always start with that one and switch to the juno address as needed.
