hi all,
i would like to go to louvre on tuesday night to take some pictures, does the pyramid light up on tuesday given that museum is closed on that day?

You can take photos outside in the courtyard of the lighted pyramides. They are always lighted up.

I got some amazing shots back in April - luckily there were few people about to wander thru.
I just wanted to mention - for a great angle - I had seen a few photos like this on IG and was able to recreate it to gorgeous effect. (I was so happy!) As you come thru the arches off of Rue de Rivoli is the place to get this shot if interested.

Good luck - as a very amateur photographer, I will follow 'cities' on Instagram and take note of gorgeous pics/areas and angles and try to get the shot myself. My funniest one was seeing a photo of an old door in Ravello in Italy (I love taking old door photos, much to my husband's chagrin). And I'm like, OK, we have to look for this door. Look all over, couldn't find it. We are sitting in the main square having lunch and I look and there is the darn door! Almost right in front of my nose. Have fun!
