I’m looking for anyone whose had experience with a private tour guide in Paris that does Louvre tours. We already have tickets, and most of the tours I’ve found online are either at a time that doesn’t work for us or include tickets increasing the cost. Looking for someone who I can pay an hourly rate to take us around the museum. Thanks for any suggestions anyone can provide.
Context Travel offers tours of the Louvre.
My wife, adult daughters and I were guided through the Louvre on Monday Sept 13 by Sandrine Voillet. She was educated at the Louvre, is an art curator and produced a three hour series covering Paris by the BBC. Sandrine was extremely professional and exceptionally relatable. She knows art, she knows history, she has a wonderful sense of humor and gave us a very efficient tour. Sandrine really helped animate the art and architecture for us.
For a sample of her presentation skills, here is a link to one of her BBC documentary episodes.
Do you have Sandrine’s contact information?

Absolutely.

She also led us through the back alleys of Montmartre during a half day tour.
Rick S is right, it is a great advantage to have a local guide.
