Hi . I'm going to Paris for 1 day in May. I booked a tour and museum entrance. Do I have to do the guided tour or can I leave it and do the museum on my own?

You do not need to stay with the tour after you enter but I have to ask...why did you book it? I'm looking at the Louvre website and see most days in May have tickets available.

Ty for this info. The day we are going may 3rd is booked.
It is a one day stop on our cruise so we have limited time and the day was completely booked. It’s on my moms bucket list so I felt awful about not being able to go. I then saw I could get in with the tour (French only we only speak English) She doesn’t really want to do the tour so I was wondering. The tour is specific to 18th century art.
